ABOUT US
The Consultancy Services Unit (CSU) in Nigerian tertiary institutions traces its origin to 1983, following the Abioye Panel Report. The Federal Government directed all tertiary institutions to establish and utilize consultancy units to boost internally generated revenue (IGR), foster economic growth, reduce poverty, and promote shared prosperity. In response, polytechnics, universities, and colleges of education set up CSUs to run commercial and professional ventures in areas such as training, consultancy, engineering, ICT, agriculture, publishing, and other income‑generating activities.
Kano State Polytechnic Consultancy Services Unit Limited was created as the revenue‑generation arm of Kano State Polytechnic. It is registered as a limited liability company under the name “KanoPoly Consultancy Limited” (RC 8255574), with an ongoing registration under the shortened name “KANPOLY CONSULT LIMITED” to enhance its contractual capacity.

Restaurant/Cafeteria, Car Wash, Multimedia, Bakery, Pure & Table Water
Block Making, Guest House, Event Centre, Polymer
Fashion & Design, Clinical Services, and other revenue‑generating ventures.
Consultancy Services, including:
Training and Capacity Building
Research and Data Management
Financial, Legal, Marketing, Business Support, Engineering, and ICT services.
Professional and Skills Certification, offering certificate courses outside the direct purview of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
